Weight Management

You have tried everything. Your body stopped listening.

The diets worked for a while. Then they stopped. Metabolism changes with age, life stage, and your unique biology. This is weight care built on your bloods, your history, and your clinical picture.

Sound familiar?

These are the things women tell us at their first consultation.

Pattern match 0 / 7

If three or more of those hit home, a proper weight management plan is worth a conversation.

The Clinical Picture

Why willpower was never the missing piece.

Weight regulation is biological, metabolic, and neurological. It is not a character flaw. For most women who struggle with persistent weight, the driver is biology, not behaviour.

01

Metabolism can change with age and life stage. That is not a failure of effort.

Perimenopause, post-pregnancy shifts, thyroid changes, and insulin resistance all alter how your body stores and releases energy. A diet that worked at 28 may not work at 42. It is biology doing what biology does.

02

Personalised medication can support the biology directly

When clinically appropriate, your clinician may prescribe formulations that support appetite and satiety regulation. These are not a shortcut. They are a clinical tool that can make the rest of the plan (nutrition, movement, sleep) actually sustainable. Your clinician will explain all options and only prescribe if it is medically appropriate for you.

03

Restriction almost always backfires

Severe caloric restriction triggers your body's defence mechanisms: slowed metabolism, increased hunger signals, and reduced energy expenditure. That is why diets work short-term and rebound long-term. A sustainable plan works with your body, not against it.

Weight management is not about eating less. It is about understanding why the body is holding on, and addressing the biology so it does not have to.

FAQ

Still have questions? Get in touch, we are here to help.

Your clinician will assess your bloods, history, and symptoms before recommending anything. If medication is clinically appropriate, they will explain exactly what it does, how it works, and what to expect. Not every woman needs medication, and that is a perfectly valid outcome too.

That depends on what else is in your plan. Medication alone is never the whole picture. Your plan includes nutrition, movement, and clinical review, so if and when you step down, you have the habits and patterns to support you. Your clinician will discuss a maintenance strategy well before any changes.

There are clinical thresholds for certain prescriptions, and we follow them. But BMI is not the whole picture. Conditions like PCOS, insulin resistance, or hypertension can change suitability. Your clinician reviews your full profile before making that call. If you are not a candidate for one approach, they will explain why and suggest alternatives.

Tell your clinician exactly what you tried, when, and why you stopped. Dose, timing, side-effect management, and the supporting plan all matter. Many women who did not respond well were under-supported or on the wrong approach for their biology. A fresh clinical review often changes the picture.

Yes, and we encourage it. Share your care team's details during your consult and we will coordinate. Our plans are designed to complement the care you already have, not replace it. We provide written notes and pathology results for your records.

Your clinician will walk you through potential side effects specific to your plan before prescribing anything. Most are manageable with careful dosing and clinical support. Your plan includes a management protocol, and your clinician is available in-portal if anything unexpected comes up.

Individual results vary. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations and set personalised milestones at your consultation. Your plan is adjusted as you go.
